This much loved Gilbert & Sullivan Operetta was
originally performed by the newly formed
Weston-super-Mare Operatic Society
at the Knightstone Theatre in 1909,
a venue held in great affection by not only
the society members but its patrons too.
Sadly it fell into disrepair some years ago and has
now been transformed into luxury apartments.

The Society has presented this wonderful
operetta no less than four times in its history
but it was thought appropriate to present it
once more to celebrate our Centenary.
